Robert Stahl, Founder and CEO

Bob has always been interested in shapes. He says it comes from his father, a lifelong mechanical engineer and the smartest man he ever knew. But oddly enough, he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. Form and function. After deciding the artsy types were a little too snooty for his liking, he got his first real job making furniture. And soon after, embarked on becoming a serial entrepreneur when he started Hallmark Cabinets with a partner and they created beautiful kitchens in the Berkeley and Oakland Hills.

The opportunity arose to develop the manufacturing methods to fabricate a line of speaker cabinets for an up and coming audiophile brand, NHT. His company, AVP, grew with their success but eventually the speaker industry shifted to China. After moving to Hampton Roads, Bob went back to his cabinet roots and created Stahl Cabinet Company which then became Neptune Kitchen and Bath. And although it’s Bob’s intention to turn daily operations over to the next generation, he first wants to develop a company culture of creativity, pride in work and customer satisfaction. It’s not ok to be second best.
